I want to join a brigade.  What do I do next?

If you are interested in joining a brigade, please visit an information session or contact us for more info about the brigade. 

So you've decided to join?  Great!  Please take the following steps:

Step 1: Fill out an application

Step 2: Sign up on Brigades.org
  1. Go to www.brigades.org and click “join” in the upper right corner.
  2. When you have created your account, click on the “group” tab at the top of the screen and search for “Medical Brigades at UC Berkeley Postbaccs” (or visit tinyurl.com/bpbgmb)
  3. Once you have located our group, find the January 2011 brigade
  4. Click “volunteer” on the home page of the brigade
  5. The request will be sent to the club’s president.
  6. E-mail [email protected] to let me know that you have submitted your application materials. Your request will be accepted after we have reviewed your application.

Step 3: Pay the $235 application deposit
We will contact you to let you know that you have been accepted onto the brigade.  Once we inform you that you have been accepted, your deposit is due within 48 hours or by October 24th, whichever comes first.  Simply sign in to brigades.org and donate $235 to yourself.  This is a non-refundable deposit for your airline reservation and it goes towards the overall cost of your flight.  Please get your deposit in on time, or we will release your seat to the next applicant!
